John Bugosh, Band Director
Mr. John Bugosh is the new director for the New Cumberland Town
Band and comes to us with outstanding credentials as a musical
director, conductor, adjudicator, arranger, and pedagogue of
instrumental music.
Most recently, John was the Supervisor of Music at the
Cumberland Valley School District from 1999 through 2005.
Previously, he was the Director of High School Bands at the same
district from 1973 through 1997. Prior assignments included stints
at Windber Area High School , Windber , PA and at the Central
Fulton School District in McConnellsburg , PA.

Donna J. Deaven, Assistant Conductor
Ms. Deaven earned her undergraduate and masters
degrees in music from West Chester University. She is also
the conductor of the Keystone Concert Band and has served
as the assistant conductor of the West Shore Symphony
Orchestra.

Howard Bink, Band President
Mr. Bink has performed as percussionist with the NCTB since
1967 and has served as president of the organization for many
years. Howard holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from
Clarion University of PA. Howard has been very active in the
local area musical scene and currently performs with the West
Shore Symphony Orchestra, the Egerlander German Band, the
Encores Big Band, and the Tunesters.
